2007 Boston Community Days
Historical Family Scavenger Hunt Details:
June 23rd @ 1pm (Rain Date June 24th at 1 pm)
- Families should meet at the Lion's Shelter
at 1 pm and collect a map of the Town and a list of 10 historic places
- Each family will visit the 10 historic places on
their list. At the historic place, you will collect an essay about the
place you are visiting and pick up a treasure.
- After visiting the 10 Town of Boston historic
spots, the family will return to the Lion's Shelter and bring their 10
"treasures"
- Each family that returns with the 10 treasures
will receive a binder for all the essays (a wonderful keepsake) - and the
family name will be put in for a chance to win prizes.
PRIZES:
* 4 passes to Darien Lake
* A copy of a book by an area author "Joseph Bennett of Evans and the
Growing New York's Niagara Frontier" by Kevin H. Seipel (Author of this book
will be available from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday for book signings)
* A copy of the recordings of Ellen Beach Yaw on CD. Ellen Beach Yaw
was born in Boston in 1868 and went on to become a famous opera singer in
Paris and London.
* A One Year Subscription to "Smithsonion Magazine"
* A one year subscription to "Family Fun" magazine
